MWD & Motors
Industry leading equipment
The Technology
By combining the latest advances in directional drilling technology and the expertise of reliable, proven manufactures, we stay at the forefront of current and emerging industry trends. We work closely with our clients and suppliers to ensure all equipment issues are addressed and all technical requirements are met in order to achieve performance goals.
- Positive Displacement Mud Motors
Millennium offers the latest in Positive Displacement drilling motors in any size and configuration. Our performance enhanced motors allow us to offer our clients specific power/torque requirements which are carefully chosen for every application.
FEATURES:
- New Bearing assembly generates less friction than carbide/diamond button bearings
- Bi-Directional Angular Contact Bearing Pack – Loads are supported by all 14 Bearings
- Bearing Assembly is radially supported over its entire length
- Special Tungsten Carbide Flow Restrictors - Highly resistant to wear, inherently stronger
- Short bit-to-bend length, higher BUR with low bend settings
- Increased reliability - our Motors operate in the harshest conditions
- Maximum operating temperature is 350°F (Limited by power section operating temp)
- Roto-Catch technology for additional LIH preventative measures
BENEFITS:
- Higher operating parameters
- Higher radial load capacity, can handle high performance power configurations
- Versatile bottom end; Operates in a wide variety of drilling fluids
- Higher dynamic weight-on-bit capacity
- Mud Pulse MWD
Millennium utilizes retrievable positive pulse MWD tools developed to exceed our customer’s expectations. Our Pulser Drivers and Directional Sensors are not only state-of-the-art, but also some of the most reliable and proven on the market today, giving clients a tool that is second to none in reliability, performance, and accuracy.
Our MWD system uses a bottom mounted, retrievable/reseatable pulser to transmit survey data to surface by actuating a valve which momentarily restricts mud flow through the drill string interior creating a positive pressure pulse. The valve is actuated by a motor working in conjunction with a gear and lead screw arrangement which exerts 100 lbs seating force providing exceptional tolerance to LCM.
